R.C.I.A. is an acronym for the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. The RCIA is a process whereby adults can learn about the Catholic Church, and so discern whether to become Catholic Christians. R.C.I.A. is also for Baptized Catholics, who have not completed all the initiation sacraments, or who wish to learn more about their Catholic Faith. If you want to know more about the Catholic faith through RCIA, please contact Nancy Grover (862-2136). An informational R.C.I.A meeting will be held at St. Matthew’s Church on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2008 at 7:00PM.

The St. Teresa Social Justice and Peace Commission has received a request from the Bishop of Baton Rouge, Robert Muench, asking for our assistance in praying for the recovery of his diocese. We thought it would be a wonderful idea for our parishioners to add this special prayer to their daily devotions so that the victims of Hurricane Katrina will know they are not forgotten.
